Ingredients

  • 1 cup kodo millet
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, beans)
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 cups water
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Rinse and Soak: Rinse kodo millet and soak for 15 minutes.
  2. Sauté Spices: In a pot, heat oil. Add cumin seeds, cloves, bay leaf, and cinnamon.
  3. Add Aromatics: Add onion and ginger-garlic paste. Sauté until golden.
  4. Cook Vegetables: Add mixed vegetables and sauté for 2 minutes.
  5. Cook Millet: Add soaked millet, water, and salt. Cook covered until millet is tender and water is absorbed.
